FALL AND EARLY RAINS

Most of the Bay Area just had its first rain, not a storm or anything catastrophic, just simply rain. So, what’s that mean to homeowners?

If you haven’t already done so…
  • Clean your roof and rain gutters. Make sure the downspouts are not clogged.
  • If needed, add downspout extensions to keep water away from your foundation.
  • After we get some more consistent rain, make sure you do not have standing water under your house.
  • If you have any drain grates or catch basins, make sure those are clear of debris.
  • Check your outdoor lighting to make sure it’s functioning properly.
  • Stock up on your batteries.
  • Dig out the rain jacket and rain boots.
  • If you’re in a neighborhood and there’s a public street drain grate make sure that it is free of debris, if not call public works to get it cleaned out.
  • Also, maybe check your furnace filter, the weather is starting to change.
If you do not like doing these tasks, Intero Real Estate partners with
